Zachary Easum is a French-Moroccan American filmmaker based in New York City who holds a BFA in Film & Television from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His work is deeply shaped by a nomadic upbringing between Tokyo and Paris, where early exposure to a wide spectrum of global art and culture became the foundation of his eclectic creative voice.
Easum has hands-on experience throughout the filmmaking process, but his core strengths are in cinematography and editing. He shows a passion for vintage textures and visual realism, he gravitates toward analog formats, often shooting on Super 8 and 16mm film as well as VHS cam corders. He also has extensive experience with digital cameras such as the ARRI Alexa Mini, Canon C300, and Sony FS7, FX3, and A7.
Easum has over eight years of experience in DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, & the Adobe Creative Suite. He loves utilizing these editing programs to color grade, create motion graphics, and most importantly, get experimental and innovative with special effects of all kinds.
